美国高中有3大申请系统，分别是SAO、Gateway、Ravenna。

SAO （The Standard Application Online）是SSAT的登录系统，是美高申请使用频率最高的系统，可以申请的学校数量也是最多的，共有超过800所学校。

Gateway申请比SAO复杂很多，不同学校要准备不同的申请材料，但Gateway文书更有针对性，可以向学校表现自己的诚意。

Ravenna主要是用来申请走读学校，教师推荐信需要老师自行提交，无形中给老师添加了很多工作量，所以用的人越来越少。
